Dear boy I hope you arrive...

Listen to me. Buy me random cards and write me letters. Suprise me with food or candy. Give me flowers. Sing to me even if you can't carry a tune, then shut up when I yell at you. When I cry, hold my hand. If I cry because of you, keep your distance but write me an apology. If I'm angry at you, call me every half hour until I know you really care. If you're going to be late or you know you can't make it, don't get my hopes up. Call me before I fly anywhere, call me before I'm going to do anything you know is important to me and wish me luck. Leave me notes that I'll find later in my locker or backpack. When I tell you something, listen. When I'm not around, act like you would act if I were there--I find out everything and some things hurt me. Meet me places to surprise me. Always anticipate that I'm around even when you know I'm far away. Search for me in a crowd. Never ever ignore me, never act with another girl the way you act with me. Say you're sorry only if you know what you're sorry for. Say you're sorry, but let me know you're sorry in your actions. Be cautious. Never do the same thing twice to upset me--I'll never forgive you. Show me you love me and value me everyday. Love me for who I am inside. Know what i like and don't like. Make me laugh, be yourself. Don't every deny anything you've done--good or bad, don't ever lie. Don't tell me things I don't want to hear, don't be stupid or naive about my feelings. Take me to plays and to places you know I like to go--even if you don't enjoy the same places I do. Take me to dinner, and let me pay if I really want to. Always know when I am saying one thing but meaning another. Take the time to know me through and through. Take me to a movie you've seen and loved. Make me a mixed tape or CD of your favorite music. Help me with my homework, help me when I'm frustrated. When I'm having a crappy day or homelife, take me away from it. Take me dancing, never be shy. Let's be comfortable. Let's not be secretive. And--don't be a bastard...
